Is There Anything To Look Forward to at New Media Expo?

Digital marketing is quickly becoming the emerging marketing model for mainstream businesses, but nothing replaces face to face meetings.

That’s why I’m looking forward to attending New Media Expo Las Vegas Jan 4-6, 2014. While attending the conference previously named BlogWorld, I met some great people for the first time while reconnecting with some old friends. There was even business that come from it as I found my WordPress security guru Brian Layman, and engaged new consulting opportunities.

This all came together quickly for me in the last week, I wasn’t planning on going, but the timing was right and I was able to shift things around to make it happen.

The value of attending conferences (with a strategy) can be very significant. In fact, this year I’m planning on attending/speaking at several national conferences. It is a great way to meet world class professionals in your field and learn from their oftentimes vast experience.

As a marketing friend of mine said, “Your grandfather ran his business better than you do!” Getting in front of people, flesh and blood, is an irreplaceable human need, and it is needed for all of our businesses. Looking forward to doing just that. So there is ABSOLUTELY much to look forward to, not to mention all those amazing sessions! Feel free to keep up with me on Instagram or Twitter, you can also follow the hashtag #NMX.
